The construction work on the Kalma Chowk underpass has damaged the 12-inch gas pipeline due to which the supply of gas was suspended in the areas of Gulberg and Garden town. General Manager Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) Lahore, Sohail Gulzar while talking to Business Recorder said that due to the construction work on Kalma Chowk main gas transmission was damaged near the wall of the drain.

He said that in order to avoid any accident they have suspended the gas to these areas. Gulzar said that they had started repairing work on the site and expressed his hope that they are trying their best to restore the supply to these areas as early as possible.
